Sydney, Australia – Thomas Global Systems has completed delivery of key components for the Integrated Ship Control Management and Monitoring System (ISCMMS) Remediation Project for the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines.

Saab Australia Pty Ltd (Saab) was awarded the ISCMMS Project by ASC Pty Ltd in October 2013 to enable upgrade of the advanced technology ISCMMS system for the Collins fleet.  Saab selected Thomas to design and manufacture updated Distributed Control Modules and Fixed Conning Consoles as form-fit-function replacement to the current units.

Saab looked to Thomas recognising the company’s track record of reliability and delivery performance on the Collins program, together with its deep expertise in the design and production of specialist mission critical electronic systems.

CEO of Thomas Global Systems, Angus Hutchinson said “We are pleased to have delivered on time and within budget to support the overall project schedule of this program sustaining one of Australia’s most important defence assets.”

“Thomas Global Systems is honoured to have partnered with Saab, to continue our long term support for ASC Pty Ltd in increasing submarine availability for the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins fleet as they work towards international benchmark performance in 2017.”
