President Director of PT Tata Motors Indonesia and PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia Biswadev Sengupta mengatakan pihaknya akan berkolaborasi untuk kendaraan militer.

Sebelumnya diam-diam Tata bersama Pindad tengah memproduksi kendaraan militer.

(CNN)

Bersama Pindad, Tata Motors Siap Produksi Kendaraan Militer

Jakarta, KompasOtomotif — Perlahan tetapi pasti, jalinan kerja sama PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI) dengan PT Pindad (Persero) sudah bergulir. Kedua pihak, baik TMDI maupun Pindad, sudah resmi menandatangani memorandum of understanding (MoU).

(Kompas)

BTR-4M Marinir TNI AL (photo : Angkasa)

Eksklusif, Marinir TNI AL Uji Coba Ranpur Amfibi BTR-4M!

Sekaligus menguji kemampuan lintas jalan rayanya tentu saja.

BTR-4M Marinir TNI AL (photo : Angkasa)

BTR-4M Marinir TNI AL (photo : Angkasa)

BTR-4M Marinir TNI AL (photo : ARC)

Submarine Command Team Trainer from Rheinmetall (photo : Shephard, Thai Military)

The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) is preparing for the arrival of its first S26T submarine from China through the use of a Submarine Command Team Trainer (SCTT) simulator, which replicates a combat information centre (CIC) and submarine environment.

In 2012 the RTN bought the SCTT simulator from Rheinmetall. Delivered in 2014 and now operating at Sattahip Naval Base, it simulates generic systems and capabilities of diesel-electric submarines, rather than a specific individual class.

The SCTT is flexible; it is scalable from operator training in individual sensors and systems to command team training for operational units. Thailand’s system replicates every important component of a submarine’s CIC, including combat management systems, heavy torpedoes, missiles, sonar systems and non-acoustic sensors (e.g. radar, data links, electronic support measures and periscope).

Thailand will receive three S26T submarines from China, the RTN’s first since four 470t Mitsubishi submarines were bought from Japan in 1938. Last year, the RTN selected the S26T ahead of offers from Germany, South Korea and Sweden.

The RTN is now in the process of buying one submarine with a budget of $385 million as it creates a three-dimensional navy to more effectively maintain maritime security.

The Royal Thai Submarine Squadron was re-established in 2011 amidst plans to acquire new submarines. Thailand was responding to other southeast Asian nations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam that were all acquiring submarines.

The SCTT simulator can integrate with an anti-submarine simulator also in service with the RTN.

The navy sent submarine personnel to learn from relevant technologies in Germany, in addition sailors completed the International Diesel Submarine course in South Korea to learn the capabilities and tactics of modern diesel-electric submarines.

Defender-class patrol boats (photo : US Navy)

The Philippine Coast Guard is looking to acquire Defender-class boats in its bid to strengthen its Maritime Law Enforcement capabilities. This was revealed by Philippine Coast Guard officer-in-charge Commodore Joel S. Garcia during a briefing with United States Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim who visited PCG Headquarters today.

Defender-class boat, also known as Response Boat–Small (RB-S), is a 25-feet boat introduced by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in 2002. Defender-class boats serve the USCG, US Border Patrol, US Navy, and several other navies including Israel.

According to US Coast Guard, the RB-S became the platform to increase the long term homeland security capability at shore stations in the wake of September 11, 2001 terrorist attack.

Commodore Garcia also suggested for further training and mentoring from the US Coast Guard as well as to increase the number of PCG Cadets to study at US Coast Guard Academy, the coast guard said.

For his part, Ambassador Sung Kim said that the US government will attend to the concerns and request of PCG. He also expressed appreciation for PCG’s effort in combating terrorism and in enhancing its capabilities as a law enforcer.

TNI Dijanjikan Tambahan Anggaran 100% Jika Target Pajak Tercapai

Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The sixth and last Kilo-class submarine that Vietnam has purchased from Russia arrived at Cam Ranh military port in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on January 20.

It took over 40 days for the Netherlands’ heavy lift vessel Rolldock Storm to carry the submarine, named HQ-187 Ba Ria – Vung Tau, to Cam Ranh port from Russia.

In 2014 and 2015, Russia handed over four similar submarines to Vietnam, namely HQ-182 Hanoi, HQ-183 Ho Chi Minh City, HQ-184 Hai Phong, and HQ-185 Khanh Hoa. Later in February 2016, the fifth submarine named HQ-186 Da Nang harboured at Cam Ranh Port.

At a flag-raising ceremony for HQ-184 Hai Phong and HQ-185 Khanh Hoa in 2015, Rear Admiral Pham Hoai Nam, Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy, said the building and development of coastal guard forces and particularly submarines fleet is normal for a marine country.

It is not an arms race but to firmly safeguard the national sea and island sovereignty and continental shelf in any circumstances, contribute to maintaining peaceful and stable environment in the region, and serve the country’s socio-economic development, he stressed.

With a displacement of 3,000-3,950 tonnes, the nearly 74m-long submarine can operate at a maximum depth of 300 meters and a range of 6,000-7,500 nautical miles for 45 days with 52 crew members.

The SMEEs will focus on using geospatial satellite imagery, acquired by Eagle Vision, to support Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief efforts.

“Eagle Vision can move all over the world, we can set up our system anywhere and start pulling down imagery from commercial satellites,” said Chief Master Sgt. Reid Tsubota, Eagle Vision Superintendent with the Hawaii Air National Guard’s 154th Wing from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

“The HADR applications of this system are incredible. In fact, this is our fourth time here in the Philippines. In 2006 we were initially supporting exercise Balikatan when the Southern Leyte mudslides occurred here. Using Eagle Vision we were able to to provide the Marine Corps’ first responders imagery that ultimately helped in the recovery and relief efforts,” Tsubota said.
