The Philippine Navy is now looking for bidders for its Transfer of Pohang Class Corvette from Republic of Korea to the Philippine Navy project which is divided into separate lots. The South Korean government donated ROKS Chungju (PCC-762) which was decommissioned in December 2016 to Philippine Navy.
Lot 1 with Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) of 24,719,628.09 million pesos is dedicated for procurement of Supply and Delivery of Logistical Requirements.
Lot 2 with ABC of 26,060,400.60 million pesos is dedicated for procurement of Supply and Installation of weapons, communication, electronics information system (WCEIS) Requirements.
Lot 3 with ABC of 118,909,802.54 million pesos is dedicated for procurement of Machinery and Other Related Repair.
Delivery periods for all 3 lots are within 60 days from issuance of Notices to Proceed. Philippine Navy Bids and Awards Committee (PNBAC) has set the pre-bid conference for these procurement on July 16 and Submission & Opening of Bid Envelopes (SOBE) on July 30.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on June 7 approved the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) worth PHP250 million to cover expenses for the transfer of said corvette.
The Philippine Navy is eyeing the Pohang Class Corvette to be delivered within this year.
