MANILA (PNA) -- To ensure the airworthiness of all its available aircraft, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has allocated the sum of PHP20,128,000 for the acquisition of spare parts needed for the maintenance of the electrical systems of four of its Rockwell OV-10 'Bronco" attack planes.
PAF Bids and Awards Committee chair Brig. Gen. Nicolas Parilla, in a bid bulletin submitted to the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System, said interested parties can submit their bids on April 21, 9 a.m. at the PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
The spares are intended for the maintenance and repair of OV-10 attack planes with tail numbers 136, 139, 145, and 636.
The OV-10s are the PAF's premier ground attack aircraft. Around six to eight units are still in service as of this posting.
They are part of the PAF's 15th Strike Wing based in Sangley Point, Cavite.
